NWEA Measures of Academic Progress

Eighth grade students engaged in MAP assessments

This year, the quarterly Scantron assessment has been replaced with the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress or MAP assessment.  The MAP is a computer adaptive test with great features, which will prove to be beneficial for the students.  Take a look at some of the excellent advantages of the MAP:

•The data received from the tests will be used to foster improvement in academic performance.

•The test items are adaptive, in that the items adjust to student responses.

•The assessment has a range of skills tied to student performance, which allows targeted instruction for individual students or student groups.

•Students are aware of their individual results and have the opportunity to set academic goals.

The MAP will be administered in the fall, winter, and spring.  We are very excited to see the academic successes of our students.
